Rate Your Anxiety –Take out a
jotter pad and catalogue what triggers your anxiety. Now rate them
in order of importance and the strength of your reaction to the
stimulus.
Brainstorm strategies for meeting
your rated situations without becoming frazzled.
Prioritize and organize your life.
Cut out the un-essentials and learn to say ‘no’.
Watch your diet – too much
sugar, caffeine or fat can really weigh you down.
Exercise – release those
endorphins that release stress and put you on a natural high.
Alcohol and cigarettes – get rid
of them!
Sleep – average 8-9 hours per
night. If you get either too little or not enough sleep, your body’s
internal rhythms will be thrown out of whack.
Cultivate a close, loving
supportive network of support.
